You should spot another trail of white smoke to the north of your position along the main road, so make haste over to the next shrine. Still - no sign of the spirit, and so your search for more white smoke must continue.Īs you exit the home, climb onto the roof and look around. Inside, inspect the banner, helmet on a barrel, and offerings in the corner, bedding in the back, and a desk full of scrolls. With the doors blocked, climb up the roofing to find two small windows on either side you can sneak into to check in the inside of the mound. Just when the trail seems lost again - listen for the sounds of someone fighting nearby.įollow the sounds of battle as they emanate from an area to the west of the Ruins of Old Yarikawa, and once you reach a ledge, look down below to spot a figure in white moving away from a large building mound.Īs soon as you finish climbing down to the building mound, the spirit will have vanished. Follow the trail to a small road in between several ruined houses - but the message will have already been claimed. Search the Center of Old Yarikawa for White SmokeĪs you return up the hill to scout for more smoke, you should immediately spot a trail of smoke coming from the inner ruins themselves. It seems the spirit killed both the Mongols and the traitor that sold the prisoner to the Mongols, but left again without a trace, meaning you’ll need to find another shrine. However, a man is still hiding in the bamboo cage near the back of the camp, so free him. The entire place has been set ablaze - it seems the spirit has gotten to them first. Since this sounds like a job you can do as well, head west along the river.īefore long you should see a large fire coming from what can only be the Mongol camp. ![]() This note asks the spirit to destroy the Mongols camped nearby along the Kushi River. Head down the road and sure enough you should find yet another shrine with a note by a bridge. If you look to the north side of the ruins, you should be able to spot more white smoke coming from the northern road that circles the ruins. Return to the top of the hill and climb a watchtower to get your bearings once more. However, the trail goes cold here, so you’ll need to resume your search elsewhere. As it turns out, this man is the traitor implicated in the note, and to prove his innocence, he’ll ask to speak with you away from the other refugees.įollow the man to a nearby grave to learn his truth, and that the man has supposedly seen the spirit of Yarikawa. ![]() Investigate the Survivor Camp to find the TraitorĮnter the nearby camp, and look for a bonfire with a man standing nearby. It just so happens the note is asking the spirit to take the life of a traitor in the camp nearest you. Head down the road to inspect it and you’ll find a scroll to read. If you look down to the southwest, you should see a trail of smoke coming from a crossroads next to a Survivor Camp.
